About the Workshop

This Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT) workshop will focus on Greater Minnesota main streets that are also state or trunk highways. A series of real-world “main street” projects will be presented. The workshop will also provide an overview of a "Complete Streets" approach to project planning and design. Participants will gain an enhanced understanding of the application of Complete Streets principles for more successful project development outcomes.

Attendees will participate in a series of hands-on case studies from communities in Greater Minnesota, working through the project development process as a large group and in small teams. A field walk exercise addressing the challenges of data collection and project design in a multimodal setting will be included.
